Happy 1st Birthday Parker!

Our little man is ONE - we can't believe how time has flown by! Anna Kate was all about the decorations, party hats and cookies (yes, homemade chocolate chip cookies and fruit) for breakfast. We made them the night before and she was begging so it was a super special treat so early in the day! When Daddy came home from the Preteen retreat later in the afternoon, we had a birthday dinner at ChickFilA and then headed to Build A Bear. Anna Kate wanted Parker to have an animal just like hers (a teddy bear named "Bear") and picked out a cute puppy named "Doggy." This time around she really enjoyed stuffing the puppy with a heart, washing the puppy and picking out a new outfit. She picked out a pair of Cars pjs for both Bear and Doggy. We continued our celebration over the weekend at the pool and as you can see below, Parker thoroughly enjoyed his birthday cupcake. It was a great weekend celebrating our precious little (22.6 lbs) boy's birthday!

Cow Appreciation Day

We celebrated our first Cow Appreciation Day this year and what made it even better is my Aunt Linda and Cousin Nicole were able to join us from New Jersey. They flew down to spend the weekend in Atlanta and then help me fly back to New York with both kiddos. Kev had to fly earlier that day for a student mission trip and I was a little nervous to fly solo with both kiddos. I'm sure they are now able to cross "dress up like a cow" off their bucket list....because who wouldn't want to go on vacation and dress up like a cow? Yes, we are that family who does crazy sort of things for free food!
