Our Not So Dreary Morning

Although our weather outside today is all kinds of dreary the kids and I enjoyed our morning at home in our pjs! I have been trying to teach Anna Kate about giving so we've started creating valentine gifts for our family since we'll be celebrating Valentines Day in New York! And ever since our snowbound week at home, Anna Kate has this new love for baking so in honor of our friend Brandy's "happy day" (what AK calls a birthday) we made some banana bread this morning and some cookies for high school bible study tonight. It was one of those "thank you Lord for allowing me to stay home with my kiddos" kind of morning :) No tantrums. No spankings. Only one potty accident. Happy kids all around.

Our Latest Addition

Meet Jake!!! Jake arrived at our house in a PC Richards refrigerator box (one bigger than Anna Kate) all the way from New York! Due to the snow, he was a bit delayed and was waiting in front of our mailbox Saturday evening. He was packaged (tornado proof) with love from her Poppi, taking a good 30 minutes to open. Anna Kate decided to name him Jake because he kind of looks like the Jake dog from Kipper, one of her beloved shows on the Sprout channel. A very special gift and one I would NEVER buy...the kind of gifts grandparents like to buy, I guess :) And if you know me, you know I'm not a huge lover of animals so this is my type of pet! But we do love him so welcome Jake to the Wilson house! You will never be the same!

Home for the Holidays

Since all of our family is out of state, I am going to TRY for the THIRD time to be consistent with a blog. Everyone is always asking for pictures and I guess not everyone wants a facebook (why not, it would make my life easier) so hopefully this will be a way they can stay updated on our life.

We have started a new tradition of being home for Christmas. With kids it became two hard to rotate holidays between three states so we decided family can come see us for Christmas and we will travel for the rest. This Christmas consisted of a few firsts....

Parker's first taste of great grandma's homemade marinara

Anna Kate's first preschool christmas party

Our first christmas with a chef in our house (uncle tommy)

Anna Kate's first experience with a Mac
