Sweet Summertime

We are LOVING summer!!! We love the semi-schedules, pooltime, trips to see family, outdoor play, etc. June has proved to be an incredibly busy month as we've had weddings, centrifuge camps, mimi and gwamas visit, vacation bible school....not leaving us alot of downtime. Don't worry, the kids haven't suffered :)

Last Day of Preschool

Anna Kate was truly blessed this year to be able to experience preschool at FBC. She went Mon/Wed mornings and I feel like she's grown up tremendously through the year. Her teachers were so incredibly sweet and really partnered with me as she grew into this "two year old." The following are just a few pics from the last day of school :) We'll miss you Miss Lori and Miss Dawn!

It's Beach Time!

We had the BEST time at the beach last week with my dad, grandparents, brother and his girlfriend Alainna! It was so relaxing and exactly what we needed at the perfect time kind of trip! Anna Kate loved spending her days building sand castles and strolling down the lazy river while Parker stayed quite content wading in the water and playing in the sand. I love we were still able to keep them scheduled on vacation (this makes for a very happy mommy and daddy) and we didn't plan too many "extra" things besides long days of soaking up the warm weather. I enjoyed Mother's Day with flowers, books and cards from all the people I love but the best part was being with my hubby and kiddos with my toes in the sand all day long!

I just love them

I think she was telling me "one second"

Building castles with new friends on the beach

Celebrated Cinco de Mayo with some yummy Mexican food

Anna Kate enjoying the pool and the "lazy ribber"

We tried out the new sit n stand stroller which proved to be
very helpful and a little more compact than the monster graco
double stroller we used earlier.

He's still attempting to crawl

Building sand castles is serious business with this little girl

"I'm ready to play with my new beach toys!!"

Parker (aka Mr. Wilson) received a ton of attention from his poppi

AK thought it would be fun to bury herself in
the sand....but being just like her mommy, she
didn't make it past her feet :)

Parker took his morning nap poolside in the pack n play

Happy boy

Had to stop her mid run to catch a shot

Ready to hit the beach bright and early!

The many faces of Parker

Yeah, my girl gets excited for Bojangles too! Here she is about
to devour a BoBerry biscuit - yummo!

Just chillin

Early morning playtime on the balcony

Mr. Wilson and "Mr. Wilson"

AK got ready all by herself. Notice her Thomas backpack that
included all her books and toys. Love the upside down sunglasses look!

The reason it's so hard to live far away from family! My kids
absolutely LOVE their uncle paul and alainna and treasure the
time they get to spend with them....wish it was more often!

Enjoying the sunset

But ready to start again early the next morning!

My big boy sporting his new ball cap

AK thinks everything about the beach is "a great idea."
I think so too! Can't wait to go back!

I'm so grateful for the time the Lord blessed us with to relax and enjoy each other. I'm thankful for my dad graciously allowing us to stay at his condo and for our ny family who traveled to spend the week with us. We wish we could see them more often but treasured the week of memories we made with them!

What If!?

I had to capture this picture today just in case.....I mean, you never know, this could be our future preacher parker and his first lady ava grace. i better start praying for their future church right now ;)

Happy Easter! Feliz Pascua!

It has been a wonderful Easter weekend at the Wilson house, minus a few meltdowns. Started off the weekend with an amazing Good Friday service at church hosted by our student ministry. Saturday included alot of outdoor fun, dyeing easter eggs and was finished off with some sweet fellowship with our dear friend Madison....I just love sitting around the table and talking about what the Lord is doing in students' lives!

Onto Easter morning! If anyone knows me, I truly struggle with my flying solo Sunday morning routine. I try to plan outfits the night before, get up at a decent hour and attempt to be at church on time. I use the word "on time" very loosely. I always have these great intentions but there is ALWAYS a roadblock! For example this morning I woke up and was super excited about Parker's first Easter and Anna Kate wearing her adorable new smocked dress but apparently Parker wasn't too excited about his first Easter nor was Anna Kate about her new smocked dress! I dressed Anna Kate and she informed me she didn't like the dress (hello, two year old!) and she wanted a princess dress. Then I "hurt" her head while fixing and flipping out her hair. By this time Parker was pitching a royal fit and after changing him, feeding him, putting orajel on his gums, i came to the conclusion that he was ready for his morning nap?! Why does my "every day but Sunday" laid back baby decide to flip out every Sunday morning. Not to mention all this was after I tried on my new Easter dress, decided I didn't like it and picked out some 10 year old outfit to wear.

Finally, we are all off to church and as I open the door to the van, I smell something, not too thrilling. Anna Kate had a peepee accident on the way home yesterday and I forgot to take out her carseat and clean her chair last night....AND forgot to leave the windows down. FABULOUS!!! After arriving to church "only" 15 minutes late, I dropped the kiddos off at the nursery, took a deep breath and got ready to worship. But - it's not about me, my schedule, 599,999 pet peeves, dresses, dirty carseats and flipping out children. This morning was about Him and the worship this weekend has been amazing from the Good Friday service to celebrating his resurrection this morning.

Happy Easter!
